Sodalis Nature Park
Acquired only last year by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation in an innovative partnership agreement with the Indianapolis Airport Authority and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, this land will become Hendricks County's second nature park and is targeted to open in 2011. The210-acre park is located in southeastern Hendricks County between CR 750S and CR 975 E and is a wonderful example pf pristine natural environment in central Indiana.

The Parks Foundation of Hendricks County is supporting the Hendricks County Parks Department by seeking funds to support the following developments at the park that will provide a wonderful recreational experience to park visitors:

  • Wild Life Viewing Platform: An elevated wildlife viewing deck providing visitors with an enhanced view of wildlife in the area.

  • Fishing Pier: A floating universally accessible fishing platform extending into the 5.5-acre pond.

  • Picnic Pavilion: A large shelter that will host gatherings ranging from general use by families to community events.

If you're interested in supporting one of these developments, please contact the foundation to discuss what forms of recognition are available to recognize you generous donation.
