New Bike Maps Give 100% Back to the Foundation
Gear Up LLC in conjunction with the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County is set to release “Ride Hendricks County” bicycle route maps. The “Ride Hendricks County” bicycle route maps are a collection of 12 bicycle routes located in Hendricks County, extending into Morgan County, totaling more than 280 miles. Bicyclists will be able to follow a detailed map, which includes the trailhead location, turn-by-turn route directions, elevations, points of interest and photos. The route maps, printed on waterproof paper, showcase some of the most scenic areas of the county, parks and rural back roads.
The map set will be sold through community events and at independent bicycle retailers throughout central Indiana. The price for the collection of 12 bicycle routes is $24.95. One hundred percent (100%) of the revenues generated will go to the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County. “The proceeds from “Ride Hendricks County” will go directly back into Hendricks County’s parks,” said Dr. John Sparzo, Hendricks County Parks Foundation Board Member. “These funds will be invested in our park system for educational programs, park improvements and future land acquisition. These investments in our county’s park infrastructure will be enjoyed by citizens for generations to come.”
